This painting and print
were originally commissioned by the Anoka High School Band Parents'
Association to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Anoka's Halloween
Parade. The image depicts the night parade of 1959, as
seen along Main Street in downtown Anoka - and some of the
events depicted really happened. Such as the live chickens being
thrown to the crowd from the rooftop next to Kessler's
Bakery. How do we know? Because there was a
witness... can you find him?
